Busy Day In Oyster Bay

On Saturday April 2nd, a violent rain storm swept through the Oyster Bay area, causing flooding conditions and leaving many residents without power. The Oyster Bay Fire Department responded to 11 alarms in a 24-hour period. These alarms ranged from downed wires to reports of house fires. Members were on hand for all 11 alarms to quickly and efficiently aid the Oyster Bay community. As a side note, the Oyster Bay Fire Department will be advancing their knowledge in responding to Utility Emergencies by attending a four-night course at the Nassau County Fire Service Academy during the month of April.
