On Sunday April 10th the Oyster Bay Fire Department held its 1st annual open house/recruitment drive which was sponsered by the FASNY organization. Members of the community were able to see our firehouse, try on firefighting and ems gear, take rides in our fire trucks, see the various specialized tools that we carry, and even watch a “mock” car accident where our specially trained members extricated a victim with the “jaws of life”.
